3. Our Services
BWSL provides waste collection, recycling, and disposal services for commercial clients, including but not limited to:
General waste collection
Clinical and hazardous waste disposal
Confidential waste shredding
Cardboard and recyclable collections
Food and glass waste management
All services are carried out in accordance with UK waste management regulations, Environment Agency requirements, and any relevant local authority guidelines.
4. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Prices are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated.
We reserve the right to adjust prices due to changes in disposal costs, government fees, or other operational factors outside of our control. Clients will be notified in writing prior to any change taking effect.
5. Service Agreements and Collections
Service start dates, collection frequencies, and container types will be agreed in writing before commencement.
Access to collection points must be clear and safe for our operatives at all scheduled times.
If collections are missed due to access issues, incorrect waste presentation, or reasons outside BWSL’s control, charges may still apply.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
Present waste safely and appropriately in the containers provided.
Ensure no hazardous materials are placed in general waste bins.
Comply with relevant UK waste segregation and Duty of Care requirements.
Notify BWSL of any site changes or access restrictions that may affect service.
Failure to meet these requirements may result in additional charges or service suspension.
7. Waste Ownership and Transfer Notes
Upon collection, ownership and responsibility for waste transfer to BWSL under a Controlled Waste Transfer Note or Consignment Note (for hazardous or clinical waste).
All documentation will be provided in compliance with The Environmental Protection Act 1990 and related UK legislation.
8. Invoicing and Payment Terms
Invoices are issued monthly in arrears, unless otherwise agreed.
Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date.
Late payments may incur interest in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and may result in suspension of services until the balance is cleared.
9. Cancellations and Termination
Contracts may be terminated by either party with 30 days’ written notice, unless a fixed-term agreement is in place.
In the case of early termination during a fixed-term contract, the remaining balance of the contract term may become payable.
BWSL reserves the right to suspend or cancel services if:
Payment is overdue;
The customer breaches any term of this agreement; or
It is unsafe for our team to continue collections at the site.
10. Liability
BWSL shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from the performance or non-performance of services.
Our liability is limited to the value of the specific service provided under dispute.
We take all reasonable care to prevent damage to property during collections, but customers are responsible for ensuring safe and clear access.
11. Force Majeure
BWSL will not be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) extreme weather, strikes, transport issues, or government restrictions, Any Act of God.
12. Data Protection and Confidentiality
BWSL complies fully with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Any personal or business data collected is used solely for the purposes of service delivery and account management.
We also guarantee the secure handling and destruction of confidential waste in line with industry standards and customer agreements.

All content on BWSL.co.uk (text, images, and design) is the property of Business Waste Services Ltd.
You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any material without prior written consent.

14. Governing Law
